| Severe Weather Toolkit |
|
Severe weather can strike at any time of the year. Be it floods, thunderstorms, tornadoes or blizzards, it’s important that Ohioans are prepared to deal with severe weather when it happens. This toolkit is designed to give you tips on how to prepare your home, business and automobile for severe weather. It also provides tips on how to work with your insurance company to deal with damage to your property and belongings caused by severe weather. Information in this toolkit was gathered from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). Ohioans who have questions about their insurance policy as
it pertains to severe weather are encouraged to call our consumer
hotline at 1-800-686-1526. Our consumer services staff is available
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help you with your
concerns.
