In support of the Ohio Department of Insurance’s efforts to investigate home repair contractors believed to be committing insurance fraud, this on-line toolkit was created to educate consumers on how to avoid being a fraud victim after a natural disaster and to remind contractors of their obligation to conduct their business in an ethical manner. Stakeholders in this effort include: the National Insurance Crime Bureau, the Ohio Insurance Institute, Ohio-domiciled property and casualty insurance companies, the Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio, the Professional Insurance Agents Association of Ohio, and other interested parties where appropriate.
